About Us

As founding members of New Sky Productions, we wanted to form a company based on powerful visual storytelling and compassion.  The basic, underlying concept of what we do at New Sky is to use our skills in visual storytelling to share stories with the world.  These stories will open your eyes, inspire you to do good and to make a positive change in the world.   As compassionate visual storytellers, we believe that to fully, and compassionately understand something is to love it, and to love it is to be consumed by the desire to help.  We intend to give you tangible solutions to the issues we document whenever possible so that YOU can be an active participant in shaping our subjects future. This goal will be fulfilled by aligning with and supporting non-profit organizations that are making a positive impact on our subject matter. We will utilize our advanced skills in multimedia production (using images, audio, video and interactive elements to tell a more complete story), documentary video and still photography on the web, mobile devices, social media outlets, DVD and print to increase global awareness and understanding and to make a positive impact on our society.  We will utilize new technologies to become more efficient, in-depth and effective visual storytellers.

As a company of passionate visual journalists we are “drawing a line in the sand” with what we do.  We believe that it is our obligation as journalists and human beings to expose and fight poverty, discrimination, injustice and any other form of human suffering.  This is our purpose, the reason we do what we do.  As a company, we are dedicated to the concept of community and also believe it is our obligation to support and nurture individuals in the VJ community and the community in general.  We do this by offering project development assistance to other journalists, offering 0 level workshops to VJ’s in our community and others, and to offer mentorships/internships to help raise the quality of our industry.  At New Sky Productions we are dedicated to up hold the highest journalistic standards in all of our projects and are driven to usher in the new era of journalism where the words “journalist” and “media” are not pejoratives.
