Our objective at New Sky is to share your story with the world by using our ample visual storytelling experience. We utilize our skills in all areas of multimedia production, including documentary video and still photography on the web, mobile devices, and social media outlets, as well as DVD and print, in order to increase global and local awareness and to make a positive impact in our community.
John is the Founder, West Coast Operations Manager and head cinematographer at New Sky Productions. John primarily works with the team to support the production of New Sky’s video projects and has a deep love for visual storytelling. “It is my belief that storytelling is one of the most important human characteristics we can share with each other. It brings us closer to each other and helps us understand the world around us. I feel honored everyday for the opportunity to visually express these stories.” His true passion is for international social documentary projects but feels equally at home working with socially responsible businesses such as Nike, Mercy Corps, Oregon Health Sciences University, The Afghanistan Dental Relief Project and others. John has worked on projects in The United States, Peru, Turkey, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Mongolia and Afghanistan.
Grant Morris is an award winning freelance photographer and New Sky Productions Founder. He recently left his job as Staff Photographer and Multimedia Producer at The Telegraph in Nashua, New Hampshire to give his full attention to the development of New Sky. In 2007, Grant was invited to attend the prestigious and life changing Eddie Adams Workshop in upstate New York. His work has appeared in various regional clip contests, poynter.org, and has been recognized in 2008 by Pictures of the Year International as part of Time Magazine’s picture editing third place win. In addition to covering notable news stories, Grant has worked with companies as large as Nike, Radius Product Development, and Nypro Systems, as well as many local New England businesses to build their online presence.
Matthew Williams is a freelance photographer and videographer currently based in Seattle, Washington. His work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, TIME, Newsweek, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. In addition he is an alumni of the Eddie Adams Workshop as well as the recipient of several national awards for his work on the AIDS situation in Thailand. Matthew has worked on longterm documentary projects as well as corporate projects in Brazil, Italy, Southeast Asia, and throughout rural America.
